A 1969 soviet documentary shows Wassily on his way to become a soldier of the red army. Upon returning to the moldovian village from where he hails, Wassily discovers his first love Julia married to someone else.
A marriage and a political system later, he still plows the fields that fed him and his village. The reproduction of the old documentary and a wedding in his family point in different directions of history, but are both evidence of the quest to overcome loneliness.
