CHINA EXPERIENCE - TRAILER

A documentary project about german expatriates working in China and being foreign in the growing economy of asia. Produced by G2 Studio.

A 1969 soviet documentary shows Wassily on his way to become a soldier of the red army. Upon returning to the moldovian village from where he hails, Wassily discovers his first love Julia married to someone else.

A marriage and a political system later, he still plows the fields that fed him and his village. The reproduction of the old documentary and a wedding in his family point in different directions of history, but are both evidence of the quest to overcome loneliness.

The Pictures don’t Move is a group on Vimeo, initiated and curated by Mirko Kubein.

This group is for films without editing and camera movement. The rules are:

1. No camera movement (zoom, pan, …)!
2. No editing (cut, time manipulation, …)!
3. No performance (acting, dancing, …)!
4. Original sound (no music, …)!
5. At least 30sec long!
